This is for you Merisi! I’ll try and do better in future. I admire Merisi for keeping her photo blog! In fact what I really admire is that she keeps it going and keeps up the quality of her work. I guess that’s why I don’t post as often as I’d like or should.

    merci beaucoup,
    that cup looks very delicious, I’d like to have a taste of it right now (just finished watching the New Year’s Concert on TV, as every year I found it precious, and the fact that I had witnessed the rehearsals took nothing away).
    Dear Andre, I beg you to publish more pictures, you capture your subjects quite beautifully and I love your style, reminiscent of your art. I treasure these differences and I see myself only as a small dabbler (and being happy at that!) in a sea of so many more talented and experienced, seriously dedicated, veritable artists. Perfection is not what I am after, because if I were, I’d have despaired long ago! I admit, every now and then I do get into a funk,
    especially after having been to an exhibition with absolutely perfect shots. I admore those photographers, I truly and most humbly do, and I have come to make peace with what I am doing: Documenting life. Not a balanced documentation, but of what I encounter and find worthwhile preserving, those precious fleeting moments of sheer joy, beauty, craftmanship, artistry, the art of savoir vivre I notice in my fellow human beings and their work.
